WHY RFK?

Royal Family Kids of Franklin County was founded in 2002 to enrich the lives of Franklin County’s abused and neglected children. The organization is distinctive in that it serves these children through a one week residential summer camp and continual long term mentorships throughout the school year.

Royal Family Kids is an international organization of volunteers who mentor, guide and support children of trauma. Our goal is to intervene in their lives and provide guidance, structure, and love for children placed in foster care.

ABOUT RFK

Royal Family KIDS (RFK) is the nation’s leading network of week-long residence camps for abused, neglected and abandoned children, ages 6 through 12. Local non-profit organizations and churches “franchise” a Royal Family KIDS’ camp and partner with agencies responsible for child protective services and foster care in order to find children who would benefit from this program.

RFK operates camps where kids are allowed to be kids for a week that is filled with activities designed to make them feel safe while they have fun. And most of all, it is a week that “creates positive memories” for each child.

All the children in attendance have similar backgrounds, and therefore do not feel like they are somehow “different” than any other child at camp.

With an amazing assortment of contacts in the tech industry, Fortune 500 and some of the best marketers in the world, they created a dynamic company of consultants who were able to take a small business in hand and turn it into a growing, dynamic powerhouse.

The camp curriculum and activities are designed specifically to build self-esteem. Finally, the camp guides are paired with only two children for the week and are trained to handle their unique needs and behaviors.

WE LOVE OUR ROYAL KIDS!

THE OVERALL EFFECTIVENESS OF ROYAL FAMILY KIDS CAMPS THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED IS THAT ONE WEEK AT CAMP CAN BE AS EFFECTIVE AS 1 YEAR OF COUNSELING SESSIONS.
